About the program
The French Embassy – Universities Canada Travel Grant provides full-time Canadian undergraduate students with the opportunity to pursue for-credit university exchange programs or for-credit internships in France.
Successful applicants will receive support to spend up to four months in France as part of their academic program. This grant allows Canadian students to further their academic growth while gaining valuable international experience in a French-speaking environment.
This year, 10 travel grants valued at $1350 CAD will be awarded.
Deadline: Monday, March 14, 2016
To be eligible for the French Embassy – Universities Canada Travel Grant, applicants must:
- Be enrolled full time at a Canadian university
- Be 18 years of age or older by the proposed date of departure
- Be in the second, third or fourth year of a Bachelor program
- Be pursuing a for-credit academic exchange or for-credit internship in France as a part of their Bachelor program
The travel grant must be applied to studies undertaken in France within 12 months of the date of award.
Please note that students enrolled in a major in science, engineering, mathematics or management and for whom French is a second language are particularly encouraged to apply.
Candidates are required to apply to their programs in France independently (this is usually done through their university’s international office).
