McGill University “Rez Project” brings equity education to residences

In support of the Residences and Student Housing Strategic Plan objective to develop a welcoming community for all students, McGill University conducts workshops in residences for all students.

For 15 years, these mandatory workshops have been an essential part of residence life for first-year students. Covering topics like gender, sexuality, consent, race, and Indigenous histories and realities, these workshops give students the tools to create more inclusive communities.

The workshops are facilitated by highly trained students and creates spaces for discussion around issues affecting residence communities.
