University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing hosts an annual recruitment event for prospective male students
Men represent approximately 6% of nursing students across the country. The University of Calgary is working to attract more men to the profession. Every fall, the university’s Faculty of Nursing invites prospective male students to attend a recruitment event where they can talk with male nursing students about their experiences in the program as well as with alumni who are registered nurses about their careers. The university also hosts a Nursing Guys Club on campus that offers many networking and mentorship opportunities.
