University of Winnipeg issues call for action to combat discrimination and marginalization
In October 2017, the University of Winnipeg hosted one of the first conferences ever for two-spirit and queer/trans people of colour focused on gender and sexual diversity in racialized contexts. About 150 local, national and international delegates came together over three days to discuss where these communities intersect, their challenges and opportunities. The dialogue resulted in a report and Calls to Action to address the discrimination and marginalization faced by two-spirit and queer/trans people of colour.
