Mission statement

The Veterans Bursary Program was established to disburse monies from the Bursary Fund as per the Federal Court of Canada issued Court File Number T-463-07. The court order names Universities Canada as the administrator of the bursary program.

Program summary

Universities Canada is pleased to announce that the Veterans Bursary Program will accept applications from November 13, 2023 to July 2, 2024 for the 2023-24 academic year. It is important for the applicant and class member to review the bursary program guidelines prior to submitting the application form to determine eligibility to the program.

A class member can designate themselves to apply for a bursary or can designate an eligible individual (spouse, child, grandchild, nephew or niece, son-in-law or daughter-in-law) to apply.

Who’s eligible

Manuge v. Her Majesty the Queen and Toth v. Her Majesty the Queen class members or their spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, daughter-in-law or son-in-law who have completed post-secondary studies at any time in the last five academic years (2019-2020 to 2023-2024).

Eligible institutions

All Canadian post-secondary institutions listed on the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
